Newbusiness.co.uk released an article discussing a recent finding that Internet shoppers are more savvy when price comparing and shopping as a whole. It stated 64% of Internet users have purchased online since the beginning of this year, with Amazon and eBay leading the charge. I cross referenced this number with Internet Retailers recent article in their print magazine, and am seeing the trend of online shopping is on a constant climb. If you are not capturing more sales this year than last year online, consider the following:
Most sites that are not growing are simply not spending money. The thought that you have to spend it to make it is true in the online market, the days of getting tons of qualified traffic through sweat equity is past. It is true that you need to combine your money with traditional guerrilla marketing tactics to survive, however most e-commerce site owners do not even have a monthly budget. If you are looking for help in these areas, I am launching an online e-commerce training session this summer, I will post the dates and times for those sessions soon on my blog here at businessEvolved.com.
